Have you been hacked before?
Here are a few simple tips I learned from wired.com that can help against being hacked.
- Don’t Reuse Passwords: People that can hack one of you accounts can usually hack more because people reuse their passwords a lot. To keep yourself and your information safe, try to use a different password every time when making new accounts.
- Set up Two-Factor Authentication: When someone logs into the account from a new computer they have to also use a code. Usually the person has to put in the last four digits of the phone number linked to the account and they get an access code that is texted to them.
- Use a Password Manager: A password manager helps you store your passwords and also create new ones. All you have to do is remember the master password and then you are good go to.
Please be safe when making new accounts and opening emails that you don’t recognize.
